Wednesday Evening Gathering 5:00 p.m. – Support Group for Life’s Hurts – This is a support group led by Pastor Gary that is open to everyone in the community. 6:00 p.m.– Community Dinner – Free and open to everyone 7:00 p.m. – Various Bible Studies and other topics of interest such as “Relationship Building,” etc.
Shut-In Ministry We provide visitation and support for individuals in residences and retirement facilities who are unable to join us for our many activities. We also have a Mobile Ministry Team that provides a worship service twice a month in two different retirement communities.
Seniors Ministry Seniors’ Breakfast – A group of our seniors meets at 8:30 a.m. on the first Tuesday morning of each month at the Cracker Barrel restaurant for breakfast and fellowship. Seniors’ Dinners – Our seniors gather on the fourth Thursday of each month at 4:30 p.m. for a dinner, fellowship, and program. Preschool The Cross Lanes United Methodist Preschool has been serving the Cross Lanes and surrounding communities since the early 1970’s. The teachers have degrees and the staff all have had background checks. The mission of the CLUM Preschool is to further your child’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development through guided play and creative activities. We offer classes for 4, 3 and 2 year-old children. For further information please call the church office at 304-776-3081. United Methodist Women Prayer Shawls Several dedicated women in our church meet to knit and crochet prayer shawls. The shawls are dedicated and given to those who need comfort in times of hurt and suffering. If you know someone who could benefit from receiving a prayer shawl please call the church office. If you would like to join in making the shawls please contact the church office for the group’s meeting times. United Methodist Men Pastoral Care and Counseling Cross Lanes UMC Community Concert Series We have recently begun a concert series that will continue once a month on Sunday evenings in the future. We are inviting a wide range of musical artists to come and share their talents. The concerts are free of charge and open to everyone. A love offering is received for the musicians and singers at each concert. If you have ideas for possible performers please contact Pastor Gary. The dates for the remaining concerts in 2013 are: May 19th, September 29th, and October 30th.
