Cross Lanes United Methodist Women will observe “A Call to Prayer and Self-Denial” on Tuesday, February 9 at 7 p.m. in the Church Chapel. (The Chapel is near the Family Life Center; use the entrance near the church office.) The theme is “Property Makes Mission Possible!” and the offering will fund capital expenditures at United Methodist Women-supported institutions in the United States and around the world. Part of the stated Purpose of United Methodist Women is “to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.” This year’s service will focus on the importance of physical space as it enables mission. We will learn about specific projects to better understand how our offering will be used. All women of the Cross Lanes community are invited to this special worship service!
